Executive Director

As the Executive Director, Ann brings to the Center extensive experience in management of the voluntary sector. A holder of LLM degree from Temple University, Law School (Philadelphia) and LLB (Hons) from the University of Nairobi, Ann has served as a Director of Human Resources, Women Against Abuse Inc., in Philadelphia, as Executive Director of the Center for Public Law and Policy in Nairobi and Deputy Director of
the Public Law Institute in Kenya. Ann was a founder member and Vice President of International Federation of Women Lawyers( FIDA Kenya) a leading women’s rights organization and also Chair of Public Policy Committee of the American Association of University Women , Philadelphia to mention a few. Ann brings to the Center an extensive knowledge and in-depth understanding of international development world as well
as poverty alleviation challenges at the African regional, national and community levels. Ann is also a recipient of a number of awards and recognitions.


Director of International Programs

Helena has had a long and distinguished career in development and management consulting in Africa, ranging from private, public and voluntary sectors. A holder of Masters in Education (major (Mathematics) from the University of Nairobi and Bachelor of Science, from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Helena has worked as a teacher, a lecturer, a director of Deloitte & Touché and a development consultant. She has
played a key role in establishing and strengthening voluntary organizations in Africa. As a board member and technical consultant of organizations such as Kenya Human Rights Commission, Refugee Consortium of Kenya, Kenya Alliance of Resident Associations, African Medical Research and Education Foundation, Kenya Women Finance Trust and FIDA Kenya, Helena has played a key role in program development and
fundraising, capacity strengthening and strategic planning and implementation in most of the leading non-profits in Kenya and the region and is a highly respected individual for the contributions she has made and continues to make. She resides in the US.


Program Officer, Africa based in Nairobi, Kenya

A graduate of Hampton College ,South Africa with distinction in Community development and Project Planning and Management and Institute of Community Development, Kenya, with Distinction in Community development, Project management, Social work , Community health and Research. David has worked with various organizations as a program officer including Center for Public Law and Policy
and also as a consultant in a variety of development projects in Kenya in both rural and urban settings involving a wide range of issues affecting the population.
